You’ve no doubt heard or examine memories approximately how crowded airports are proper now and the long lines at security checkpoints, and at airport espresso stores and eating places.
Some airports have created digital reservation systems for checkpoint times.
Now HMSHost, which operates meals and beverage outlets at more than one hundred twenty airports, is using technology to ease the trouble of sitting down for an airport meal.
The employer is partnering with eating place platform OpenTable to power virtual waitlists at over a dozen HMSHost airport restaurant locations in 7 airports national.
At collaborating eating places, visitors can join the waitlist on-line through QR Codes or in character with the host. Diners may be notified via SMS text message while their desk is ready.
Up next, the partnership will enable reservations in advance, with the intention or making airport eating a part of the tour booking technique.
