Drama at Dallas Love Field

July 22 was artist Alexander Calder’s birthday, giving us an excuse to percentage some snap shots of his work in airports and on airplanes.

The picture above is of Calder in 1957 inspecting the set up of his work firstly titled .a hundred twenty five, after the gauge of the aluminum factors in Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (then Idlewild Airport). The piece was later redubbed Flight.
