Southwest expands Hawaii flights from California

Southwest Airlines announced new nonstop flights from Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) to each Kona (KOA), on the island of Hawaii, and Lihue, Kauai (LIH) will start flying in January 2020.

Once these flights start, you’ll be capable of fly to all 4 principal Hawaiian Islands nonstop from SJC.

Southwest will start flights among SJC and Lihue four days according to week (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun) starting January 19, 2020. Flights to Kona might be three times a week (Tue/Thu/Sat) beginning January 21.

These new flights may be in addition to Southwest’s existing each day, nonstop flights between SJC and each Honolulu and Kahului (Maui), which began in May.

Take the Train – half off

You can’t take the train to Hawaii, however you can take it masses of other places – for 1/2 fee.

Amtrak just kicked off its September Sale, offering 50% off tickets national. The sale runs Friday, August 16 via Saturday, August 17, 2019 and covers travel everywhere between September 1 and September 30, 2019. Even higher: no blackout dates.

Mixed Media Collage artist Fernando Del Rosario brings his “Real Heroes” series of inspiring rates and authentic composed artwork – crafted from comedian books – to John Wayne Airport (JWA).

“My Real Heroes series is supposed to seize you, lose yourself inside every piece and come out stimulated, prompted, and creatively recharged,” stated Del Rosario. “Every such a comedian e-book pages is from my series as a kid. And that is my manner of sharing my tale and my idea with the public.”

Del Rosario’s art work is on display in the JWA Community Focus Space from August 15 – September 17, 2019.
