IND Airport welcomes NCAA enthusiasts with artwork, tune, and more

College basketball fanatics arriving at Indianapolis International Airport (IND) this week will discover some unique art, song, meals, and well-knownshows, courtesy of the metropolis’s trademark Hoosier Hospitality.

In addition to a custom-wrapped INDY vehicle in the airport’s Civic Place, there are digital shows of cascading basketballs and the #LoveIndy statue for picture ops.

Eat, Drink and Shop

Pop-up retail stores in the pre-safety Civic Plaza and Concourse B are selling NCAA clothing and gear, as are other retail shops throughout the terminal. And, for that unique memento, Scoreboard, in Concourse A, is promoting an Indiana University basketball made with Swarovski Crystal.

Hungry lovers can stop in for the well-known St. Elmo shrimp cocktail at Harry and Izzy’s or at Shapiro’s for nearby delicatessen eats. And the brand new Sun King Tap Room is serving its “Hoops There It Is” strong point beer – wheat ale with peach.

Art and tune too

In partnership with the Arts Council of Indianapolis, 10 brief murals featured paintings by way of nearby artists on vinyl are on show in Concourses A and B.

THe birthday party doesn’t prevent there. There can also be stay track at IND on Fridays and Saturdays via April 3. And, thans to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, an exhibition of pieces from the National Art Museum of Sport (in Concourses A and B).
