Soda companies do it. Toothpaste companies do it. Car organizations do it.
And airports do it too.
Since 2001 you have recognized it as Norman Y. Mineta San José International Airport (SJC).
But, way to a rebrand, from now at the San José airport might be going via a barely one of a kind name: San José Mineta International Airport.
The call alternate can also appear mild. But it is part of the airport’s goal to become greater of a key player within the Bay Area and make stronger the airport’s geographical affiliation with San José.
In addition to the new call, the rebrand consists of a new logo, a brand new colour scheme, and a new tagline: Fly Simple.
SJC’s first integrated the name of US Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta in 2001. And, whilst many airports are named for human beings, San José become one of the few airports in the global to be named after a dwelling individual. Secretary Mineta handed away on May 3, 2022.
We’re best with the call alternate. Just as long as the airport doesn’t mess with the cool public artwork. And with the charming topiary bear at the doorway.
