Airlines & Airports Brace for Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian is causing airports to close and airways to cancel flights and offer passengers tour waivers.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) plans to forestall business operations at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 28, till it is safe to renew flights.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) will droop operations at five pm nowadays.

Other airports inside the region are final operations Tuesday and Wednesday as well. Others are advising vacationers to be prepared for canceled flights.

Airlines offering journey waivers due to Hurricane Ian

Many airlines have published tour advisories and are providing no-charge travel waivers to passengers flying to, from, or through airports in Hurricane Ian’s course.

Delta Airlines has a tour alert for 20 airports.

JetBlue’s journey alert for Hurricane Ian applies to travel via eight airports.

The travel advisory for Southwest Airlines influences tour to and through a dozen airports.

And the United Airlines tour alert applies to eleven airports.
