Head right here to look snaps and a few a laugh information from our flight over and a “get-to-know-Helsinki” on foot tour. We’ve moved along to the Lahti place now, but have some Helsinki museum spots to percentage.

Helsinki’s Amos Rex art museum occupies the web site of a former bus station and has a popular public rectangular up pinnacle and a sunken gallery beneath.

To give you an idea of the form of artwork the curators are thrilling the metropolis with, right here’s an photograph of a cacophony of reclaimed chairs flowing over the roof of the building that’s one a part of a domain-specific piece titled The Nest, through Japanese present day artist Tadashi Kawamata.

Finnish Museum of Natural History

Our museum group loves herbal records museums, so we made certain to visit the Finnish Museum of Natural History, which has 5 permanent exhibitions, including Finnish Nature, World Nature, and The Story of the Bones.

We were extremely joyful to identify a unprecedented -headed calf on show in addition to skeletons and specimens galore.

More Finland visiting tomorrow…
