At airports: a large flamingo, doodles, & Disney salute

Some birds are welcome at airports

Their giant flamingo public paintings won’t arrive until 2022, but the oldsters at Tampa International Airport (TPA) are truely very excited. We can’t blame them. This hen looks as if it'll be a stunner.

PDX supplying prizes for doodles

Sasquatch and Chill By Vanessa Soberanis

There’s a whole lot of construction going on at Portland International Airport (PDX) and airport officers are being very creative with the signage in the terminal whilst all the paintings goes on.

Through October eight, 2021, PDX is inviting the general public to create and add Northwest-inspired PDX doodle-art that might in the future be displayed on the airport. Everyone is welcome to vote on their preferred doodles. The designs that get the maximum votes may be featured on digital video display units at the airport and on PDX social media, and show up on custom t-shirts. The triumphing artists will get coveted PDX swag and present cards from PDX stores and eating places.

Orlando Int’l Airport celebrates a Disney anniversary

Walt Disney World Resort is popping 50 and Orlando International Airport (MCO) is joining in at the celebrations with unique decorations within the terminal teach stations, banners, decals, and floor projections. Our favorite: a large 50th Anniversary tea cup and themed backdrop perfect for photo ops.
